In Inca period, the Sacred Valley of the Incas was very important in agricultural production, it is in this valley where large grain corn was and still is cultivated. On the tour you will visit its beautiful towns that show their mestizaje, culture, art and architecture; visiting Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero with a stop for lunch in the cozy town of Urubamba.

Itinerary

08:00 | Drive to Moray
We will pick you up between 8:00 and 8:20am to take you to our first stop of the tour – Moray.

09:30 | Moray
You will visit this impressive system of Incan agricultural terraces with your guide, then continue on to Maras.

11:00| Maras
In Maras we will visit this fascinating site where the Inca harnessed a salt water spring and converted the mountainside into 1000s of evaporation chambers to capture this highly mineralized (and sometimes pink!) medicinal salt.

13:00| Chinchero
We will stop in the town of Chinchero to see a demonstration of how their famous handmade textiles are produced.

14:30| Return to Cusco
We will be back in Cusco at approximately 2:30pm.
